My wife and I just had our first baby at Blount with the doctors from WCG. Because of what I do for a living I look for great customer service. Between the doctors office and the labor and delivery staff at BMH I was blown away on how much they cared about us. It’s easy to see that these folks work in this field because they truly care and it’s not about the pay or title. We loved all the doctors but really liked Dr. Tensen. We were really hoping she would be on call when our little girl came but Dr. Ballard was and she was great as well. If we have anymore children we will be back!
So in closing, I want to thank all the doctors and staff at WCG for being there throughout my pregnancy (huge shout out to the Lab Techs that had to deal with my needle phobia). Then, lastly, I want to personally thank Dr. Turner for bringing our daughter into this world, you have no idea how much we appreciate your kindness and compassion.
So thankful for Dr. Turner and the wonderful staff at Blount for taking such amazing care of me and Charlotte (my daughter) throughout this entire journey. Being a first time mom and being very young I was terrified throughout this whole process especially the delivery, but Dr. Turner had my back and calmed me down to get me through it. Even when I was rude and cried she was always calm with me, and I couldn't be more thankful. I had some complications due to there not being enough fluid around my daughter, but even with that Dr. Turner still had a smile on her face and remained calm while I was freaking out. Olga, my nurse, was the best as well she always had something positive to say to keep my from going insane and held my hand through it all. We couldn't have asked for a better group of people to of helped us through this and even after she is still amazing. Highly recommend her and the amazing staff at Women's Care at Blount Memorial.
Though my entire pregnancy WCG was there, any worry or concern, I was able to be seen that day or the next. I saw all the doctors at this office, at one point or another, and always had the same personal care that I had come to expect from this office. Literally everyone (front desk, lab techs, ultrasound techs) was amazing and always friendly.
Fast forward, we delivered at Blount Memorial and could not have expected better service and compassion from the Labor and Delivery staff. I had read horror stories about delivering in a hospital setting, but was blown away by the level of care my new daughter and I received. My birth plan was followed by the nursing staff and they were there to comfort me though my labor. Post delivery they were, also, there to address all the first time mom concerns I had, even allowing me to stay a bit extra to ensure I felt comfortable with breastfeeding prior to my discharge.
Dr. Turner...need I say more? She does what doctors everywhere should be doing! Listening and using her degree and intelligence to "think it through" with you. Truly never had an ob/gyn like her. Maryville is blessed to have her! Thank you, J. Turner...you are one in a million.
(Also, my husband is blown away with how efficient this office is, cutting down the time he had to spend waiting for me at the appointments)
I am preparing to have my fifth child, all of which have been delivered with women's care group! Fantastic group of doctors and nurses!
I literally can not say enough about this office and their staff. Early in my pregnancy, we had a very scary ER visit (the word miscarriage was used), prior to choosing an OB. I called the OB, I thought I wanted to use, immediately only to be told that I had to wait a month minimal to be seen, medical problems or not. I, then, called WCG @ Blount and was able to get an appointment the next day. Thankfully everything was okay with our pregnancy, but that small action made my decision easy, WCG @ Blount would be my OB for my pregnancy and delivery, as they actually cared about us and our health.
