On Tuesday morning, Amy called me. She was excited, I could feel the energy through the phone. She admitted they had a new tech looking at the car and once her father saw it, he determined that only a mass air flow sensor was out. We owed $69 for some maintenance they did, and we could pick up the truck!

Amy answered the phone right away and told me that her father, the lead mechanic/ owner, had been working on cars since he was a teen and was a very hard worker. I trusted her voice immediately. I had my brother's no start F-150 towed over to their shop last Thurs with hopes of it being squeezed in the following Monday. Amy called me that very afternoon with news that the truck had no oil, like dust on the dip stick kind of empty. I was furious with my brother who had driven it to the point that it wouldn't start. In most cases this would lock up the engine, but we got lucky. Friday morning I called Jones' Garage to learn that the truck was jumping around and misfiring on 6 of the 8 cylinders. They had to close early for the weekend, but I called my brother to deliver the bad news that we likely needed an engine.
