I have worked here a good amount of time and absolutely love them. I take my animals here also. The doctors and vet techs are amazing, taking the time to listen, and truly care about our pets! Dr. Chris Lehman doing surgeries and his vet tech are always tedious and do a wonderful job. The ladies up front are always helpful. Dr. Lehman does a fantastic job here.
I took my dog to this hospital as he was having trouble peeing. They said he had bladder stones and told me he required surgery which would cost $700 to $800. I asked if there is something we could try before surgery and they reluctantly told me that they could try food to 'dissolve' the stones. I told them I wanted to try that first. I then had a friend tell me she does not recommend this Vet so I took him to another Vet (who has 30+ years experience) that I used in the past although it was further from my home. Much to my surprise, I was told that the food Village Vet prescribed is the one to 'prevent' but not 'dissolve' the bladder stones. So, it seems to me they just want me to come back for their $800 surgery. The new Vet is going to perform surgery as the stone is larger since the food we had was not intended to help. Funny thing is this Vet is charging $300 for the surgery. Why is Village Vet charging over twice as much?
I learned my lesson to travel a little bit further to get the best care for my dogs. I would not recommend this Vet, I think they are in it for the money and not for the welfare of our beloved pets. Shame on you!!!!
After spending almost 4 hours at Southwind and never being seen, we made an appointment with Village. We were put into a room very quickly, and had her vaccines and check up done in record time.
Fresh and clean office area. Looks like it may be a newer building. ~Great look. *Highly recommended.
We had been using a different vet's office because of closer location to our house. When my precious boxer became sick and I couldn't get him in at the other clinic, the staff at Village was very accommodating in letting me bring him in asap. I received the worst news I probably could have for my almost 12 year old fur baby, tumor around his liver or spleen and severe arthritis in his back and hips. We made the decision to have him put to sleep, and the caring and compassionate vet, Dr. Leitch, as well as the rest of the staff made a terrible day bearable. Thank you!
