Great place. Chilhowee Baptist Association owns the property. It's a great place for groups to come to be outdoors. God has really blessed the efforts that the association and past/present caretakers have made to make the place as beautiful, and memorable as possible. A lot of people, most of them volunteers have put a lot of hours into making Camp Tipton what it is today.

Great facilities! They have been very supportive of the Scouts allowing them to use the camp for our Camporee.
We unfortunately took our son to this camp several years ago. There is NO air conditioning anywhere for the day camp kids to have some relief from the heat. The temperatures got into the upper 90's that year, and he came home each evening sick, with a pounding headache, and begging not to be made to go back the next day. The only thing they did to even cool off a little was slide down a homemade plastic 'slip & slide' that went across rocks and hard-packed dirt, for a short time. When I dropped him off each morning, there was not an adult anywhere to be seen, only teenagers, who ignored the kids while they chatted and goofed off with each other. We regret ever making our child go to this poorly run camp, and I wish other parents would leave honest reviews about their child's experience so future victims/kids won't have to suffer. They need an air-conditioned facility for crafts and rest time.
