Dennis and his wife also run a great BBQ place here as well, closed on Tuesday and Wednesday's. There's covered, outdoor seating with a restroom, in case you don't have a room and are just stopping by for some lunch.
The bad: No WiFi, CRT TV, poor bathroom, and no so great HVAC.
It's a good time and a great way to unwind after going thru US129's switchbacks.
Great place. Perfect location for exploring the Smokey Mountains.
I've been coming here for the past 5 years and Dennis and his wife run a first class place here! Our rooms are reserved well in advance, just to make sure we get a place near the Dragon but you don't have to do this, it's just what I do. The rooms are clean and have everything you need while your down here.
This place is a staple here at the dragon. The pork melts is to die for... So much so that I ordered two!
The staff is great and will chat you up about local activities, legends, etc.
The good: fairly clean room, friendly atmosphere for bikes to chat, safe, good access to The Dragon, Sat. TV, big room.
They had a counter and stools set up so you could watch the road and all the beautiful and exotic cars and trucks and bikes Roll by.... I will definitely stop in again as the staff was friendly and it was a relaxing place to get a bite after a very enjoyable ride
Me and my son we're both extremely pleased with the quality of the food the price was reasonable and the view of US 129 was spectacular..
Dennis is an avid biker and knows all the local roads so if you need to know something just ask!
